What personal data we collect and why
Comments
When visitors leave comments, we collect the information shown in the comments form, their IP address and browser user-agent string to help detect spam.
An anonymised string created from your email address (a hash) may be sent to Gravatar to check whether you use the service. Gravatar’s privacy policy is available at https://automattic.com/privacy/.
Once your comment is approved, your profile picture is publicly visible alongside it.
Media
If you upload images, avoid including embedded location data (EXIF GPS). Visitors can download and extract location data from published images.
Contact forms
When you submit a form, we collect the information you provide (name, email, phone number and message) to respond to your enquiry or manage session bookings. We do not use this information for marketing without your consent.
Cookies
Comments: If you leave a comment, you can choose to save your name, email and website in cookies for convenience. These cookies last for one year.
Login page: A temporary cookie checks whether your browser accepts cookies. It contains no personal data and is removed when you close your browser.
Signing in: When you sign in, cookies store your login information and screen preferences. Login cookies last two days and screen-preference cookies last one year. Selecting ‘Remember me’ keeps you signed in for two weeks.
Editing or publishing: When you edit or publish an article, an additional cookie stores its article ID without personal data. It expires after one day.
Embedded content from other websites
Articles may include embedded content such as videos, images or maps. This behaves as if you visited the other website directly and may collect data, use cookies and track interactions.
Analytics
We may use analytics tools, such as Google Analytics, to improve the user experience. These tools may collect anonymised information about website use.

Information submitted through forms is retained as long as needed to handle your enquiry or while a business relationship exists.
